Five Building Blocks – Part 5

BUILDING BLOCK #5: YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS CREATES THE WORLD AROUND YOU

– Proverbs 23:7 “As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.”

– As you think, so are you. Your thought life is the most important and crucial life-shaping mechanism at your disposal. That’s why Romans 12:2 says “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Your mind is the center of renewal and the Christ-centered abundant life you’re after.

– You are what you think.

– If you always think you’re a victim, if you always think about how you have been wronged in your past even when you were a child and had no control of your destiny, if you typically have a long list of excuses about why you haven’t achieved what you thought you should have, why you are not who you think you should be, why your life isn’t working like you think it should, then maybe you should consider having some different thoughts. “As a man thinks in his heart, so he is.”

– If you think you’re a victim then you are.
– If you think you’ve been stunted because of the abuses or injustices you’ve suffered, then you are stunted.
– If you think you can thrive and succeed no matter what your past or experience try to tell you, then you can thrive and succeed.

Your consciousness, your thought processes, your expectations, and your interpretation of your actual circumstances literally shape the physical environment that you find your self in right now.

Now, let me reassure you with a little inside information here. Everything I’m saying about your “stinking thinking” or your poor thought processes is not, I repeat, it is NOT to criticize or condemn you. Romans 8 says that “there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” God is not in the business of condemning people and neither am I. I’m fighting the same battles as you are! If we still believe that there is some kind of condemnation toward us for anything that we do, say or think, then we are concluding that Jesus didn’t suffer enough for us.

Think about that. If we think there is one ounce of condemnation left toward us, then we are concluding that Jesus should have suffered just a little bit more on the cross to pay for this condemnation we’re feeling. Of course this is nonsense. Jesus took upon Himself every single last shred of condemnation so that you would not have to experience any of it. That’s the whole beauty of the gospel! The Apostle Paul says to the Galatians [now listen carefully to this]:

“Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit” [in other words, having accepted this free gift of salvation that we all know is a free gift, not accomplished by anything that we can do or think or say but was accomplished by Jesus Christ when He sacrificed Himself for us], “having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected in the flesh?”

In other words, since the gift of salvation is free and not by any works that you can do, then the working out of your salvation is also not by any works that you do but is also a free gift, continuously flowing from the throne of God. And how do we access this free gift? How do we access all the promises of God that have been freely given us in Christ? How do access, as we hear in 2 Peter chapter 1, “everything we need for life and for godliness”? This verse in 2 Peter continues to tell us exactly where all our provision comes from: “Through Him who has called us by His own glory and excellence.”

So our provisions, both spiritually and physically, come through the conduit of our knowledge of Jesus Christ. And there is no condemnation if we don’t get it at first. Jesus just asks you to keep on believing, keep on learning, and then you and He together will figure out this thing called life.

Right here is a good spot to think for a few minutes about the things that can prevent the quantum wave from collapsing. Remember from our discussion in Building Block #2 that the miracle happens when the quantum wave collapses. This means that before the prayer, before the laying on of hands, before the state of faith versus unbelief is decided in the minds and hearts of the people involved, the quantum wave is intact. In other words, a number of possible outcomes are tied up in the wave of possibilities. It could be that the quantum wave will collapse and the person will receive their miracle. But there are things that can also prevent the miracle:

1. Unbelief. Faith is a substance that exists in the quantum realm. Hebrews 11:1 Says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for.” This substance already literally exists because it was purchased by Jesus more than 2000 years ago. Now it’s just a matter of collapsing the quantum wave so we can see it manifest physically. Unbelief is faith in reverse, or negative faith. If faith is a substance of something that already exists and can actually be brought into physical manifestation, then negative faith – or unbelief – does the opposite by resisting the collapse of the quantum wave.

2. Spiritual forces. Daniel prayed once and he got his answer while he was still praying (Daniel 9:20-21). He prayed again and it took three weeks for Michael the Arch-angel to show up with the answer (Daniel 10:13). Michael told him the answer was given when Daniel first set his heart to pray, but it took three weeks to collapse the quantum wave because demonic powers were fighting against him.

3. Resources. In some cases your miracle depends on other people or resources to be lined up first. Their quantum field is not ready to collapse, so neither can yours. This could include financial resources, people who need to come to you to offer you provisions or training, or the spiritual development of another such that their quantum field will help yours to collapse at the right time.

4. God. You might be praying for a miracle that God thinks you’re not yet ready to receive. Many miracles of provision or advancement depend upon our readiness to receive and then effectively run with the provision, but if God knows that the provision would damage or kill us because of our immaturity or lack of experience, then he may very well keep things in the cloud of possibilities for a while longer. This does not mean he’s answering NO, it just means he needs to develop you more before you can handle it. This has been a common theme in my life, because my visions have always far exceeded my ability to digest them. God has had to teach me some severe lessons in patience, humility and faith, because for some reason he often chooses to show me things far in the future, which means I am completely unprepared to handle them without some hard core training. This is probably because I have a tendency to rush forward with things by myself, based on my personality and being pathologically independent, and He needs to very concisely and brutally teach me faith in Him to bring it to pass. He wants to first create in us the mind of Christ to such an extent that we can not only handle the blessing or miracle but so we can thrive as a result and use the provision to its full extent.

So, we’ve already established that you have the mind of Christ. In Building Block #4 we learned that your consciousness is God’s consciousness. You have the mind of Christ. I didn’t use this scripture before, but a good one to illustrate this is1 Corinthians 2:9-10:

As it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Now before I continue let me digress just a little. This verse is most often used to talk about the amazing life God has prepared for us after we die. This is often regarded as a scripture about the fact that heaven will so wonderful and amazing that we cannot even imagine what God has prepared for those who love Him.

While it may be true that we cannot fathom how amazing heaven will be, that’s not at all what this passage is talking about. If we read it in its context, we will find that it is talking about the whole salvation package. The verses right before this are talking about the hidden wisdom of God, which is salvation through Jesus, and the fact that if those who had killed Jesus knew about this mystery, they, according to verse 8, would not have killed the Lord of glory. Then come our verses above, which talk about no eye has seen and no ear has heard.

The thing that no eye has seen and no ear has heard is the mystery of the incredible inheritance we have in Christ and the limitless expanse of the salvation package. The whole chapter here in 1 Corinthians 2 is about Christ crucified and all that this means to those who follow Him.

Why am I bringing all this up in the context of our conversation? Because the verse following those I already quoted is truly amazing and ought to be life changing for us all.

Once again in its context, it says:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.
But God HAS revealed them to us through His Spirit.

Even if this verse is talking about the amazing hereafter, it would still be wrong to state that we don’t know, because that last phrase says we do know. It says “God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.” So, whatever the mysteries of God are all about, we are meant to be in on it. We are supposed to understand it and know it. Jesus said in John 15:15:

No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Wow! ALL the things Jesus heard from the Father he has made known to us. ALL things! How can he possibly say that? Because, once again, we have the mind of Christ.

And what did the mind of Christ accomplish while he walked this earth?

Blind eyes were opened.
Lame men walked.
Leprosy was healed.
Demons were cast out.
People were set free.
People were touched and as a result they gave praise to God the Father.
People were loved.

And if we have the mind of Christ, and we do, then we can do all these same things as well.

Get to know Jesus. That is the essence of the fourth building block. Your consciousness – your ideas, your thought processes, your mindset about who Jesus is and what He is offering to you right now, here, today, just as you are – is the fourth building block. Your consciousness is God’s consciousness. And the consciousness of Jesus Christ creates the world in which you live. This is the fifth Building Block. You can choose the kind of life you’re going to live! It’s your choice! It’s only a matter of your own thought processes lining up with those of the Spirit of God within you! You are free to create the world in which you want to live by manipulating the quantum field with the authority and the power that God freely gives you through Jesus.

Now hear me, this is not the blab it and grab it gospel. You aren’t to going to accomplish anything of eternal value under your own power. You can’t order God to perform like a circus monkey. I’m not saying you can turn God on and off like a switch. What I’m saying is the switch is always on! The flow is always flowing! The waterfall is always abundant, it’s just that we voluntarily stand out in the desert in the hot sun and then we complain that the water is not falling on us. God is not the one who moved! We can step into and out of the flow of obedience, and that affects how our lives progress.

No, I’m not saying that your own mind is the power that creates your reality. I am saying that we are commanded to “be transformed by the renewing of your mind” Romans 12:2). The word “transformed” here in the Greek is metamorpho’o, where we get the word metamorphosis. We are to be so utterly transformed that our old and new life are as different as a caterpillar from a butterfly. Your mind is simply the catalyst or the switch that turns on the already-available power of God.

And even this transformation is not something that you accomplish of your own effort. Paul says in Galatians 3:2-3: “This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?”

We all know the answer. We receive Christ by hearing, with faith. Ephesians 2:8-9 says “By grace you have been saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, not as a result of works so that no one many boast.”

But have you read further into this Galatians passage? We’ve already talked about it. Paul goes on to ask in verse 3 “Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?”…and in verse 5 “So then does He who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?” The obvious rhetorical answer is that salvation is a free gift of grace through faith, and so is the ongoing maturation and increase in wisdom and holiness that God expects of us! This a tough one for most Christians to swallow because we’ve been raised with such a heavy emphasis on what we do and how that affects our level of blessing from God.

So the transformation of the mind is the thing that aligns us to receive power from God. The flow is always on, we just need to come into alignment with it. It’s like when they install a satellite dish on top of your house. To get a clear TV signal, that dish must be pointing at a geosynchronous satellite, which is a satellite that is always above the same point on earth. The signal is always there, but the technician has to find the satellite and point the dish at it in order to receive the flow of electromagnetic signals that will give you a good TV image. The dish does not try hard to receive the signal. It’s not up there on your house thinking “I’ve got to try really hard to pull in this signal!” No, it doesn’t try to find the signal and it doesn’t work to pull the signal in. It only sits there in perfect alignment and lets the electromagnetic power coming at it to do its work.

If your world does not line up with the abundant life that Jesus is freely offering you, then change your mind! That’s what the word “repent” actually means. It means to “think again.” Think differently. Change your expectation.

– Choose, deep in your heart and mind, what will be the source of your life, your spirituality, your physical provisions, your reason for living.
– Your consciousness is the same consciousness of God Almighty, and that’s the same consciousness that created the universe and rules is without flaw.
– This same consciousness is a free gift to you, to bring the resources and provision into your life that God wants to give you to accomplish the specific reason that He placed you on the earth in this season at this time!

So after all this, there must be some kind of direction God wants us to go, some kind of instruction about how to make this supernatural life start happening. The primary mechanism for this is surrender. As you become a living sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2), you experience a transformation in your mind. The mind is the key. You already have the Spirit of God living in you and all its knowledge, wisdom and power. You just need to get it to percolate up out of your Spirit into your soul and body. And the transformation of your mind is the key.

Then subsequently you might ask “How do I transform my mind?” By the scriptures. By prayer. By getting real and intense about your relationship with Jesus. By letting Him call the shots. The Apostle Paul often called himself a bondservant of Jesus Christ. A bondservant has no rights. He is at the total and complete whim of his Owner. A bondservant does only those things that his Owner tells him to do. That’s what Jesus said about Himself in John 5:19:

Therefore Jesus answered and was saying to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner.

Although salvation comes purely by grace through faith in Jesus, and by no act or works of your own, the same is not true about stepping into the abundant life God has planned for you. This is plainly obvious simply by observing the defeat and lack in the lives of so many Christians who authentically love God. Loving God and trusting Him for your salvation is the first step. But to live the abundant life that you see a select few Christians living; to experience all of the supernatural manifestations that God wants you to experience; to get the quantum wave to collapse more often, or always, and to see watch with your eyes the quantum field at work; to truly witness “the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living” (Psalm 27:13); you will have to do something.

It’s initiated by your own effort and decision to live a life perfectly in tune with the Spirit of God. But even then, it’s not your power that accomplishes the change. It’s more like the waterfall analogy. If you’re dying in the desert, it’s your responsibility, not God’s, to walk under the waterfall. But once you do, then the Spirit of God takes over, and He will accomplish in you unfathomably more than you think.

I’ll close Building Block #5 with this exact thought taken from the God’s word (Ephesians 3:20-21):

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

By bringing your mind and heart into alignment with your spirit (which, remember, is inhabited and fully integrated with the Holy Spirit of Jesus and all his knowledge and wisdom), then you will begin to experience the supernatural life that God has designed for you.

So, the building blocks are:
#1 Matter is energy.
#2 Matter/energy and consciousness co-create each other
#3 God’s consciousness permeates all of the universe
#4 God’s consciousness is your consciousness
#5 Your consciousness creates the physical world around you

So, how do we put all those building blocks together? Let’s talk about that…\
